Canon EOS-1D X: Firmware Update

Canon has released a firmware update for the EOS-1D X is available that will fix several bugs. Among others, issues are resolved with the AF Fine Tune. Also problems with using the lenses EF 70-200 mm 1:2.8 L IS II USM and EF 200mm 1:2 L IS USM as the Extender EF 1.4x III and Extender EF 2x III Canon will have eliminated.

The Firmware Version 1.0.6 includes the following bug fixes, according to Canon.

First fixes the problem that the AF tuning can not be performed correctly.

Second Fixes the problem that when using the camera with certain lenses * 1) and the Extender * 2) may occur on the images captured back focus.

* 1) EF 70-200 mm 1:2.8 L IS II USM and EF 200mm 1:2 L IS USM
* 2) Extender EF 1.4x III and Extender EF 2x III

Third Fixes the problem that when the camera is in very low light (or when attached to the lens cap or body cap), the error message "Error 80" is displayed.

4th Fixes the problem that at the onset of two CF cards in the camera and selecting the [Standard] (default) or [Auto switch card] (automatic map. Switch) as the recording method [Record func + card / folder sel] (Stop recording. function + media / folder selection), and then removing and replacing one of the CF card into the card slot occurs. The selected for the recording and playback of images card may have been mixed up with the other CF card.

5th Fixes the problem that the value for the AF tuning is not displayed correctly in the EXIF information of the captured images.
