The new Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II for Nikon DSLR cameras replaced the Japanese lens manufacturer, the Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX. The new version has a focus motor, which allows an almost silent and very fast and accurate focusing and features a new lens coating. The front lens is coated water and dirt repellent, which can easily remove fingerprints or other contaminants. In addition, this layer extremely hard and scratch resistant and protects the front lens and mechanically before contrast-reducing micro-scratches.
The Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II has a focal length range of 11 to 16 mm and is compatible with digital SLR cameras equipped with APS-C or DX sensors. On a Nikon DSLR with a DX sensor, the focal length is equivalent due to the size factor of 1.5 x of a small picture-equivalent focal length of 16.5 to 24 mm. The maximum light intensity is above the entire zoom range for F2, 8, the minimum aperture is F22. The panel itself consists of nine-blade rounded, which were tuned for optimum design background. Tokina's unique quick-change ("One-touch Focus Clutch") enables automatic and manual focus with fast forward or pushing back the focus ring to the photographer the instantaneous switching between the two methods. This eliminates the need for Nikon camera bodies, the conversion of AF / MF switch. To switch from AF to manual focus only a few millimeters of the focus ring to the camera is to move towards, and to go back to AF, this ring is easy to move forward again.
